 "O, Israel, stay away from idols! I am the one who looks after you and cares for you. I am like a tree that is always green, giving you my fruit to you all through the year."

This small verse is packed with many different themes. The first and most obvious is stay away from idols! Too often we switch God out for some sort of cheap earthly treasure. We find ourselves doing the equivalent of praying to a stick and we don't realize it at all. But as people we must stay away from idols.
