The Faith I Live By - Sorrow With Hope

Topic(s): Death
After reading this, I started wondering something. What do you say to someone who does not believe in God when they are on their death bead? Specifically, in what way is it appropriate to preach the message of salvation to them, and how should it be presented? I know someone who tried repeatedly to talk to someone about Christ. The person never wanted to listen, until that person was on his death bead. When he was at that point, he accepted Christ as his savior. But the question of acceptance is fundamentally different for those who are on their death beads, compared to those who are still have the vigor of life. For those about to die, the question more so becomes,"do you want to go to heaven?", while for those who are not about to die the question is more so, "do you want to live the rest of your life as a Christian, and follow God?"
This is not to say that a person who accepts Christ on their death bead is not genuine. Perhaps nothing I have said is of any consequence.
