In verses 19-20 Paul is stoned by those who opposed his teachings and then they took him outside of the city and left him for dead. They didn't just stone him and then stop when they thought he had suffered enough, but rather they tried to kill him. They thought they had killed him, and that's the only reason they stopped throwing stones. By the grace of God, however, Paul was still alive. The very next day Paul left the city for Derbe, preaching again the news of the gospel.
I was amazed when I realized that Paul was virtually killed, yet he didn't let that stop him from preaching the good news. He didn't even have to take some time off to regather himself. In m...
